Sept. 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows

The interfaith service was one of the most moving events of the week.  (After the speakers, there were songs in English, Hebrew, and Arabic.)

Billionaires for Bush

At the end of the service, I met two college students. They were heading to a “Billionaires for Bush” event.

Walking down the street after the interfaith service, Dave was able to practice his “Billionaire for Bush” routine -- on a policeman who really believed Dave supported Bush.

The policeman shook Dave’s hand and said, “I’m glad to hear it.  I LOVE George Bush!”

But when he sensed sarcasm in Dave’s praise for Bush’s tax cuts, etc., well, things got a little tense. Fortunately, it ended well.

One of my oldest friends is named Dave.  I wish he’d get Internet access!

Democracy is best taught by example, not by war.
